How to reach Tropea

By plane: The closest airport is Lamezia Terme “Sant’Eufemia” International Airport (45 km from Tropea). Other airports are Reggio Calabria “Tito Minniti” (120 km from Tropea) and Crotone “Sant’Anna” (150 km from Tropea).
By train: The nearest railway stations are Tropea and Vibo Valentia-Pizzo (35 km from Tropea). 
By car: Traveling north on the Salerno-Reggio Calabria highway, exit at Pizzo Calabro, then continue to Tropea. Coming from the south, exit at Rosarno.

How to reach Hotel Tropis from Lamezia Terme Airport / Lamezia Centrale Train Station

1. Local shuttle bus+train

Take the shuttle bus from Lamezia Terme Airport to Lamezia Terme Centrale (train station) and then a local train from Lamezia Terme Centrale to Tropea. After exiting from the baggage claim area, leave the airport using the first exit on the right. Turn right on the footpath. The bus stop is located 10/20 meters away. Tickets for the bus can be purchased at the newsagent located in the main hall of the airport just after exiting the baggage claim area or directly from the driver on the bus. The bus departs every half an hour and takes only a few minutes to reach the station.

The journey from Lamezia Centrale (train station) to Tropea takes about 50/55 minutes with intermediate stops in Pizzo, Vibo Marina, Briatico, Zambrone, and Parghelia. Train tickets can be purchased from automatic machines or online at https://www.trenitalia.com/en.html. It is also possible to purchase the combined bus+train service from Lamezia Airport to Tropea on the same Trenitalia website.

For the short walk from the Tropea train station to Hotel Tropis, exit the station and turn left. Follow the street until reaching a parking area on the right. Hotel Tropis is located on the opposite side of the parking area, facing away from the railway.
